ABOUT Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) 

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) is an autonomous parastatal under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. ZIMSEC was setup as a result of the 1994, Zimbabwe School Examinations Council Act. Among other reasons, the examinations were localised to ensure the end of colonial.

HOW TO GET YOUR Grade 7, O’Level or A’level Results Zimbabwe

  • Go to the portal website https://dcmv1.zimsec.co.zw/ or https://zimsec.co.zw/
  • Enter the six digit Centre Number.
  •  Enter the four digit Candidate Number.
  •  Choose session from the drop down list, either June or November.
  •  Choose level from the drop down list, either O’Level or A’level.
  •  Enter the Year you sat for the exam.
  •  Enter your Candidate Name correctly ,starting with your surname followed by your firstname and then your initials(if you have a second name).
  •  Enter your date of birth, using the dd/mm/yyyy format.
  •  Enter a username that you would like to use for logging in to the application.
  •  Enter a password, that comprises of a capital letter, digits,and non alphabetic characters. For example Zimsec123! would be a valid password.
  •  Reenter the password in the confirm password text box.
  • Enter the the security phrase of your choice for example, i am jonathan, take note of the spaces within your security phrase as these spaces are also considered as characters.
  • Click the register button.
  • If account registration is successful, the application will redirect to the login screen.
  • If there are any errors, the application will display the errors on the screen.
  • It’s important for the candidate to remember their Security Phrase and Username in case they loose their password.

How do I get my ZIMSEC results online?

  • Visit the results ZIMSEC results portal by following this link
  • If this is your first time please click on register to create an account
  • You will need your statement of entry at this point
  • Enter the requisite details e.g. centre number and candidate number among others exactly as they are shown on the statement of entry
  • Choose a unique username e.g smukudzei
  • Choose a strong password i.e. one that has Capital Letters, numbers and symbols
  • Enter a secret phrase take care as you will need it if you forget your password
  • Click on register
  • Once you have registered  go back to the home page
  • Log in using the username and password you have just created

You will be given the option to view your results
